The purpose of the Equity task force is to: 
  • Guide the process of expanding and enriching the possibilities of applying the core principles of PCIT in a sensitive, informed manner for all racial, ethnic, gender, and other historically-marginalized communities by identifying, supporting, and amplifying the clinical expertise and lived experiences of clinicians, families that PCIT-I serves, and all those part of the current and future PCIT-I communities
Successes:
  • Convened initial Equity Task Force comprised of 6 members of the PCIT-I community
  • Established charter outlining purpose, goals, and priorities of the ETF
  • Initiated collaborations across other task forces for DEI issues

Future Priorities:
  • Collaboration with Continuing Education (CE) initiatives for new speakers and topics to diversity CE opportunities.
  • Collaboration with other task forces regarding DEI issues and language
  • Dissemination practices

PCIT International is grateful for the members of the Equity Task Force as they help facilitate many of the important tasks within our organization. If you'd like to join the Equity Task Force, please send the chairs above an email containing your curriculum vitae (CV) and a brief statement detailing how you hope to contribute to the work of the task force. The task force chairs will review your materials and share them with the PCIT International Board of Directors​ for final review.
