Re-Certification Process: PCIT Therapist and Trainer
The PCIT re-certification process gives PCIT therapists and trainers a convenient time to examine their web listing to ensure that their information is current and accurate. It also allows PCIT International to maintain the most up to date information on therapists and trainers.
Beginning with therapists who certified after June 2018, all therapist certificates will expire on December 31 two years after their certification. All Within Agency, Regional, and Global Trainer certificates will expire on June 30 two years after their certification. This standardized date will allow the certification team to easily send out reminders over the list serv. For therapists and trainers who certified before this date, please check your certificates for your expiration date.

Re-certification forms are a fairly simple 1 page application and there is a small fee of $25.
To renew certification, therapist and trainers are required to obtain PCIT CE credits.

Attendance at PCIT International conferences are strongly encouraged for obtaining PCIT CE’s. Trainers in particular are encouraged to attend conferences.
If needed, PCIT International has a list of CE activities listed on our PCIT website which center around the Auburn catalog (videos and certification courses): http://www.pcit.org/continuing-education1.html. In addition to offering (1) PCIT CE credit for participation on each PCIT Global Trainer call, we are also in the midst of developing other PCIT CE activities, and will post them once complete onto our website.
You can also receive PCIT CE credit by attending the monthly Global Trainer Calls. Invitations for these are sent out via our PCIT International certified therapists and trainers list serv.
