Keynote Speaker
Dr. Michael Southam-Gerow is a professor of psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and the director of the Center for Evidence-based Partnerships in Virginia. His research focuses on the partnership-driven implementation of behavioral health treatments in community-based, publicly-funded settings. Dr. Southam-Gerow also studies emotion processes (e.g., emotion regulation) in children and adolescents and treatment fidelity. He is Associate Editor of the Implementation Research and Practice, the author of scores of scholarly papers, and is the author of Practitioner’s guide to emotion regulation in children and adolescents, now available in paperback (translated into Dutch and Korean) and Exposure therapy for children and adolescents, both published by Guilford Press.
Presidential Address
Larissa N. Niec, PhD, President of the PCIT International Board of Directors, is Professor in Psychotherapy and Mental Health Interventions at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Case Western Reserve University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Through her NIH-funded research, Dr. Niec seeks to increase access to evidence-based interventions for underserved families, with an emphasis on improving health equity. Dr. Niec is a Global Trainer in PCIT and has published extensively on its effectiveness. Her recent books include Strengthening the Parent-Child Relationship in Therapy: Laying the Foundation for Healthy Development and Telemental Health Care for Children and Families. Dr. Niec is involved in the UW–Madison’s RISE-THRIVE initiative to advance mental health interventions and improve community well-being. Her work has been featured in outlets such as the Washington Post and NBC Today.

How long is registration open?
Early Bird registration ends 7/15/2026.
Preconvention registration ends 8/31/2026.
Convention registration ends for all sessions 9/14/2026.
