Certified PCIT Therapists

Certified PCIT Therapists are individuals who have received appropriate and sufficient PCIT training to be qualified to provide PCIT services to children and families. These training requirements reflect the minimum training necessary to develop competence as a PCIT Therapist using the 2011 PCIT Protocol (Eyberg & Funderburk, 2011) and the 2013 DPICS Manual (Eyberg, Nelson, Ginn, Bhuiyan, & Boggs, 2013).

PCIT International is not responsible for verifying the training of PCIT therapists who have not been certified by PCIT International. It is always good practice for clients to check on a therapist's certification before starting treatment. Therefore, we encourage clients to ask questions about certification of the PCIT therapists in their area.
