Job Title: Psychologist II, Family Center at Kennedy Krieger InstituteBaltimore, MD
Kennedy Krieger Institute is an internationally recognized institution located in Baltimore, Maryland dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system through patient care, special education, research and professional training.  Services include over 40 outpatient clinics; neurobehavioral, rehabilitation and pediatric feeding disorders inpatient units; plus several home and community programs providing services to assist families.This position is located within The Family Center at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, which provides trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health treatment for children exposed to maltreatment and to family and community violence. As a funded National Child Traumatic Stress Network Center since 2003, the award-winning clinical staff at the Family Center develop, implement and evaluate effective mental health interventions for children and their families.
Job Description:  The Doctoral Level Psychologist provides psychotherapy and participates in research or other projects at the direction of the Director of Clinical Services. In this role, you will also provide assessments of children along a continuum of screenings to full psychological evaluations.  These are formal evaluations requiring the use of psychometrically sound instruments in addition to clinical interviewing.  Areas of assessment include emotional, cognitive, achievement, and developmental functioning of referred children.
Qualifications:   Requirements:•          Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited college, university, or professional school

•          Licensed or license eligible to practice psychology in the state of Maryland

•          Experience in clinical psychological work with children, preferably in a community or hospital setting with children who are traumatized, severely emotionally disturbed, or who have experienced abuse/neglect

•      Completion of a one year internship in clinical psychology

  •       Training in Evidence Based Treatment and/or work with developmentally disabled or medically fragile populations is a plus
